Spring Favorites

Sorry for the radio silence yesterday, guys. I sacrificed my blog post in lieu of a bit more sleep and some more time to work. I suppose it's all a part of my never ending quest for balance.

Luckily last night I had a little less on my plate and was able to fit in a yoga class (best de-stresser ever) and a healthy amount of online browsing / shopping. I headed over to J. Crew (no shock there) to check out some of their new spring styles.  As usual, I wanted basically everything I saw. But what I really wanted were some classic basics that have been updated for spring. Chambray, gingham, denim and stripes. As basic as one can get.

The fact that I'm on the hunt for a denim jacket for spring kind of makes me laugh a little. I don't know why. I guess it takes me back to elementary school or something. I mean, denim jackets did go out of style for a while there, right? Maybe not. But I think the last denim jacket I owned was from Mary-Kate and Ashley's collaboration with Walmart. So that's a fun memory.

Anyway, happy Thursday! Despite the stress of work lately, this week has flown by. I can hardly believe it's almost the weekend. And when the weekend arrives tomorrow, I am all ready to welcome it with open arms.

What pieces do you have your eye on for spring?

  2. J. Crew did so well with chambray this year! I haven't taken the plunge there yet, but I'm sure I will. I am definitely loving stripes though, and almost bought a denim jacket the other day in Arizona, and may have to go back and get it when I'm there next week. I love that your last one was the Olsen Twins for Walmart :) They've always done so well with their designs!
