One Fifty

Today marks my one hundred and fiftieth post. What? How did time fly by so quickly? It seriously feels like just yesterday that I sat down at my computer and pressed publish for the first time. To commemorate, I thought I'd do a little round up of some things I've learned from blogging over these past seven months.

  1. haha to #5! I have to say that I'm amazed at how sweet and genuine some bloggers can be, I feel like I've made so many new friends.

  2. Congrats on the big 1-50!! That is so amazing, and your ideas about blogging are so true. I love the personal connections I've made with people that I've never "met" in real life. Whenever I hear news about a certain area, I'm like oh so-and-so lives there, and I love reading about others thoughts and lives. I agree with number 8. Although at times dedicating the extra time to blogging is stressful, if I didn't love it, I wouldn't do it. Congrats again Jackie! Here's to another 150!

  3. Congrats on your 150th! That's so exciting. I love these tidbits of what you've learned too--they're so on. I love that you care about the writing, too. So many people seem not to read what's written at all. I've learned too that promoting is much more difficult than I had thought, and it's not necessarily true that the best stuff gets recognized. Unfortunately, this is true in all areas of life it seems. Here's to writing what you love though, because I love reading it :)

  4. Congratulations on this sweet milestone! I really like these lessons that you've put together, and number five is spot on! haha The loveliest thing about blogging is the friendships that you make, the sense of community and sharing what you love and inspires you on a two-way street.
I wish you all of the best for Daydreamer and may it never become a chore! :)

  5. Congrats on 150 posts! I can't tell you how much I love and agree with everything on this list. It's weird how blogging just started out as something fun to do and it's turned into this full-blown passion. It's like another job, but one that I LOVE. I'm so glad I've been able to get to know you (even if it's just through the internet), I always look forward to reading what you have to say. I think that's mostly because (aside from your spectacular taste), you're so genuine, which is refreshing to see on a fashion blog. Also "I don't ever want to be one of those bloggers" made me laugh haha. Here's to 150 more!

  6. Congrats on a great milestone! I think it'll be a while until I'm there. I really enjoy blogging but have found it to be more of a struggle to make time for it than I thought it would be. I agree with everything you said. I try not to compare myself to others, to speak with an honest voice, to actually LIVE my life and not spend hours wishing my life was as cool as other bloggers...yes, I think you are right on all counts.

And I very much enjoy your blog. :-)

And just to be sassy I sign off with,

  7. First of all, congrats on 150 posts- that's so awesome! And I love all of these little lessons you've written about and always enjoy reading your posts :) Here's to many more posts on your lovely blog!
