one of my favorite quotes from the everygirl
Oh guys. What a week. Did you notice what happened this week? I didn't post on not one, but two separate occasions. I'm not super okay with that but it had to happen. I've been busy lately. Really really busy. I promise I won't go into all the little details and I also won't complain because let's face it, everyone's busy.
But lately I've been thinking I might have to cut out or scale back something in my life. I have to work, so that's not an option. I'm gaining way too much great experience and having way too much fun with The Everygirl and this blog so those aren't really options either. Then there are the other aspects of my life which have been in various spots on the back burner lately: working out, sleeping, and spending time with friends. It's such a balancing act and I just haven't figured it all out yet. So here's my question to you. What do you do to prioritize? How do you balance all of your commitments? Tips and tricks are greatly appeciated.
I'll leave you with this lovely quote from Abby Larson, founder and editor of Style Me Pretty. This was Abby's advice to her 23-year-old self. And hey, I'm (almost!) 23, so I'm going to take it to heart. Especially the whole 'You are not a mess, you are normal' part.
Happy Weekend!
I love that quote! It is definitely tough to keep everything balanced, sometimes much more so than others. I was hoping you were ok, not posting for two days! I always sacrificed sleep first while I was in school, but that takes it's toll. Mostly the best advice I can give is to be more efficient at what you do, which is clearly easier said than done, but I hope it helps a little. And don't forget to take time for yourself! I always feel better when I'm working out pretty regularly, even if other things are driving me crazy. Even a 3 mile run does wonders to clear an overwhelmed brain. Hope you get some time to relax this weekend, and stay warm!

This quote is awesome. I completely know what you mean, I actually took a "sick day" from class today because I was so overwhelmed. Sometimes having a blog almost seems like a job too, doesn't it? I wish I had some sort of magic secret for balancing everything!
