The four options below are those that I'm thinking of buying. I would love to know what you think of them and whether or not you have any better suggestions.
This leads me to Hunters. My roommate followed up that statement by saying that she could, however, see me in Hunters. Hunters would probably be suitable for those rare 40-50 degree days when the snow is melting and you don't want your feet to get wet. But for the rest of the winter I know they probably wouldn't do. I just love them so much, though!
Next are the Sperrys. I don't think I love the style that much, but I do love the hot pink. Thoughts?
And lastly, the Uggs (that thankfully don't really look like Uggs). My last pair of winter boots were Uggs and they held up for four solid years. I think they're the most sleek, modern of the winter boot options, but the price tag is by far the least desirable. Hmph.
Anyway, thanks for reading this long (and super exciting) dialogue about winter boots. I would love to hear your thoughts! Thanks so much everyone!
Honestly, I only like the pair of Hunters out of the group. Plus it's water resistant, so you could wear it on rainy days.
ReplyDeleteThe Hunters are gorgeous (I want a pair so badly!) but I also think the Sorel ones are cute, too!
ReplyDeleteI have a pair of Hunters I love, but they never seem warm enough to take out in the winter. I lived in Uggs in college (the originals), but now that I'm getting annoyed by everything being so wet all the time I'm seriously considering a pair of Sorels just like that. I think they're much cuter than the Sperrys, and better for feet of snow, which I'm hoping to encounter a lot of. I just figure winter boots are like running shoes--generally hideous so why not go all out and edge that line between fantastic and awful? :)

Personally, I am a sucker for rain boots, so I would go with the Hunters!
ReplyDeletei love the hunters and the uggs. get the socks for the hunters so your feet are warm!
ReplyDeletei'm personally a big fan of a slip on or zip up boot - i'm always in a rush in the morning and can't be bothered to take the time to sit down and lace up my boots... something to think about!
I totally get you about the winter boot problem! They really are so ugly and far too expensive for a pair of boots you don't want to buy. I actually found a pair I liked last year, but I tried finding the link for you and I don't think they sell them anymore :( I, of course, like the Hunters the best, but I agree that they might not be the best for negative degree weather. They might be okay with thick socks though? And, of course, my next favorite are the Uggs (I never thought I'd say that). If you know they'll last a long time, maybe the price tag is worth it?
