Street Style
I love fashion. Can you tell? And lately I've been loving photographs of street style. Of course looks from the runway and of celebrities are wonderful as well. But there is something special about seeing a complete stranger in their element, putting their unique style on display. Lately I've been obsessed with The Sartorialist for these looks. Scott Schuman, the founder behind the website, captures his subjects so eloquently and in a way that makes you want to know more about them. Here are some of my favorite photos from the site.

Wish List
These are a few of the lovely items I have been eyeing lately.
Allow me to elaborate:
-As much as I love the stacked wrist look, it's going to be pretty hard to pull off when I own a total of two bangles.
-It's also hard to keep up my love for blazers when I have two to my name, and they're both black.
-I have a pink Zara skirt similar to the one above that I love. It would be wonderful to have another so people don't start to judge me for wearing the same skirt to every single social function.
-I am in need of a new wallet. My current wallet is from freshman year of college and it has seen better days. Even my mom is starting to judge me for it. And that is saying something.

Weekend Snapshots
Happy Memorial Day! This weekend was spent at my parents house. It was very relaxing and a much needed break from the city. But I am very happy to be back.
Morning sunshine.
Morning sunshine.
On Friday afternoon I got fitted for a
bridesmaid dress for my brother's wedding.
This is my parents puppy when he's all cute
and sleepy in the morning.
On Sunday I went to my little cousin's birthday
party. I found this dinosaur protecting it's nest.
I also found this birthday cake.
I bought these delicious cupcakes for a friend.
Today my mom and I went to the Wilde Roast
Cafe for lunch.
So tasty.
I hope everyone has a wonderful rest of their weekend! And thank you to all of the veterans and those currently serving our country. I appreciate all that you do!

Pretty in Pastel
Here's to the pastels. They make everything prettier and daintier and lovelier. And I love them for that.
And just because it's Friday and you should be happy on Fridays, here's a picture of the most adorable puppy in the world. Happy weekend!

A Vision of Home
I think my interior design aesthetic is a mix of glamour, vintage, classic and clean, with plenty of well-organized personal touches like picture frames. Does that make any sense? Maybe not, but those
are the words that come to mind when I envision my apartment.
As a college student, I've been living with roommates for the past 4 years. Our apartments have always been a hodgepodge of Ikea treasures and different design aesthetics. But my room is simple and elegant with something of a vintage feel. I LOVE being there. And I'm pretty proud of the fact that I've been able to make my room feel like home, even in a college student's apartment and on a college student's budget. I'll post pictures of that space later on. But for now, these are some spaces that I think are beautiful and inspiring. I hope you do too.

Ten Little Things
It's so easy to take the little things for granted. But sometimes the little things that come in to your life, even if it's just for a second, make you the happiest. So I've decided I'm going to start writing down those little things as I come across them. I have a million lists in my phone already, so what's just one more?
1) The smell of crisp leaves on a fall day.
2) When a friend brings you a surprise out of the blue. It can be a cup of coffee or a cupcake or anything really, but because you had no idea it was coming, it's perfect.
3) When a baby wraps their tiny little hand around one of your fingers.
4) Getting a hand written letter in the mail.
5) Seeing a happy puppy wagging it's tail when you walk through the door.
6) Waking up after a wonderful night's rest with an entire free day ahead of you.
7) Savasana after a really hard yoga sculpt class (for all you yogis out there).
8) Sunshine and a warm breeze after you've been inside at work all day.
9) Taking a break from work and listening to your favorite song (this is usually accompanied by ridiculously loud singing/lip-syncing). My current go to is Ingrid Michaelson's version of Can't Help Falling In Love. And before that it was this. And before that it was this.
10) Seeing your friends and family at the airport after a long trip away from home.

Peplum
Peplum.
I had never even heard of this word a couple of months ago but now I am whole-heartedly obsessed.
This is one of those trends that I am just absolutely loving. Check out some of my favorite styles below.

And from the runway...
There it is. I just gave you nine reasons to fall in love with peplum. Unless you have a hatred for clothing that falls in to the 'feminine and classic yet playful' category, I suggest you hop on the peplum bandwagon as soon as possible.
